Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite has said that the country's strategy and posture in negotiations with Gazprom is producing results

At the same time the country's leader noted that the current Gazprom offers are to be considered, although they were only verbal. Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius is also satisfied with the decision on the issue of Russian gas prices for Lithuania, and he says that an offer in writing from Gazprom is expected in the near future.

Meanwhile, Chief Adviser to the President on economic and social policy issues Nerijus Udrėnas is already talking about an opportunity for coming to an agreement in the arbitration with the Russian gas concern, but pointed out that the conditions of any agreement would have to be better than the expected results of litigation.
