Vilnius Mayor Arturas Zuokas will seek the presidency

Mr. Zuokas' run for the presidency was reported on Lithuanian Radio and Television. The capital's mayor said that many are encouraging him to take this step, and he himself felt that it was time to take responsibility and he wants everywhere in Lithuania to be as good a place to live as Vilnius. He is going to participate in the elections as an independent candidate.
