Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has announced Russia's intention to establish a Russian network of schools in the Baltics, which will adhere to Russian standards. The Lithuanian Ministry of Education noted that educational programs of foreign countries and international organizations in Lithuania can be opened only with the consent of the government and approval of the Minister of Education and Science. At the same time, the Ministry noted that Lithuania has already developed a network of schools for ethnic minorities and created good conditions for learning in their native language.
