On the 12th of November, at 10.30 AM member of the group Lithuanian Reform Movement and signer of the Act of Independence Zigmas Vaišvila is going to hold a press conference at the Lithuanian Parliament.
On the 13th of January of this year, commemorating Lithuanian Freedom Fighters‘ Day, Mr. Vaišvila, when speaking in the Parliament about the events, also drew attention to some facts of the Lithuanian President’s biography that have been concealed or even hidden.
In the signatory 's view, recent events and the detention of BNS journalists leave no room for doubt that the warning at that time was timely. According to Mr. Vaišvila, the aspiration to conceal the true biography of President Dalia Grybauskaitė has already gone beyond the limits of the law.
In the context of these events, the signatory is going to comment on the fact that the Lithuanian General Prosecutor's Office and the State Security Department refused to provide him with information whether approprate methods of investigation are being applied in his case.
