The Ministry of Agriculture has announced that the Ministry has received official notification that three transfers of 100,000 LTL each were made from the account of the public enterprise Ekoagros on September 19 and 20 to the Lithuanian landowners union account. The Ministry also acknowledged that it is being reported that during that period only director of Ekoagros Gintaras Nagulevičius had access to the Internet banking account and that Ekoagros had no outstanding financial obligations to the Lithuanian landowners Union. The ministry referred the issue to prosecutors, the FCIS and the SIS not only regarding potential expropriation of Ekoagros's funds, but also regarding Mr. Nagulevičius’ removal from the leadership of this organization.
