The Lithuanian lawmaker sent a letter to European Union commissioners and members of the EU parliament expressing concern that the resolution introduced by Edite Estrela last year, which the Lithuanian politician considers a threat to families and which was rejected, is currently being considered by the European Commission - the EU's highest executive body. On December 10, 2013 the European Parliament adopted a document advocating that the policy of formation and implementation of reproductive education in schools is a matter for each Member State. In this context, Ms. Aleknaitė-Abramikienė absolutely does not understand why the European Commission is ignoring the clear position of Members of the European Parliament.
