The Lithuanian National Youth Association had already asked the Vilnius municipal government before Christmas for a permit to prepare the march down the capital's Gediminas Avenue on March 11th. Like last year, the organizers have already received an answer that other events will be held at the beginning of the main street of the capital and so there will be no space for them. What alternative the city government will offer to the nationalists should be resolved as early as this week. Lithuanian National Youth Association Chairman Julius Panka said that people would definitely march as they do each year. He reminded everyone that last year it was banned, but there was still a procession. He said that the association tries to do everything according to the law.
