Member of Parliament M. Adomėnas has accused signer of Lithuania's act re-establishing independence Zigmas Vaišvila of working for Russia

On January 17th Zigmas Vaišvila held a press conference at the Lithuanian parliament to deny all the rumors that he works for the Russian secret service. This accusation was recently written in a letter by Homeland Union- Lithuanian Christian Democrat party representatives Mantas Adomėnas and Liutauras Kazlavickas.

In an interview with ekspertai.eu Member of Parliament Mantas Adomėnas did not retract his statement and insisted that Mr.Vaišvila is a tool of Russian secret service being used against Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite. He said that if something walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's probably is a duck. He further explained that if all Mr. Vaišvila's actions have consistently contributed to the expansion of Russian interests in Lithuania for many years, it is probably not accidental. He concluded that he does not know if that service is deliberate or not, and that is for Mr. Vaišvila's conscience and special services to determine, but that he is sure the man serves the interests of Russia.

Mr. Adomėnas did not attend the press conference organized by Mr. Vaišvila and did not directly question him about whether he was working for Russian secret service or not.
