On October 29th and 31st, at the invitation of the Polish Institute in Vilnius, Polish sociologist, philosopher and essayist Professor Zygmunt Bauman will visit Lithuania. His name is inseparable from postmodern ideology, and the author is often called a prophet or herald of postmodernism. The main theme in Professor Bauman's work is modern culture -- its characteristics and its ongoing transformation. During the stay, the famous sociologist will visit Vilnius and Kaunas.
On October 29th at 17.30. at Vilnius University Theatre Hall (Universiteto street 3) he will give a lecture entitle „Online/Offline. Life between two worlds – contradictory or compatible? And to what effect?“ Historian Professor Leonidas Donskis will be the moderator of the meeting. The languages of the lecture will be Lithuanian and English (with simultaneous translation). Admission is free.
