Lithuania's Central Electoral Commission concluded that of the five thousand signatures checked in the population register for inconsistencies in the place of residency shown, 2249 did not meet the minimum requirements necessary to specify the place of residency. Ten commission members approved this decision, three were against it and three abstained. The CEC also set the deadline to correct these 2249 signatures to the 29th of January. Signatures from before need to be corrected by the organizers by the 2st of January. In total the CEC is allowing 9500 signatures to be corrected and at least 7800 of them must be approved.
