Prime Minister Butkevičius says he has convinced Parliament Chair Graužinienė that the euro should be introduced to Lithuania in 2015, in addition to the fact that the minimum wage should be increased to just over one thousand five hundred LTL. The Prime Minister said that the political council will consider how to compensate for the possible increase in prices after the introduction of the euro, and reiterated that it discussed the possibility of increasing salaries and returning pensions.
Earlier, Ms. Graužinienė said she was not against the euro, but did not support its introduction if the coalition had not come to a consensus.
