Lithuania's Liberal Movement announced that they would support the country's current leader Dalia Grybauskaite in the coming presidential elections. According to party leader Eligijus Masiulis, there are many reasons for the support; the many questions about the president's past do not worry him. He explained that the liberals never look to the past. He went on to say that their party is, in fact, the next generation; it is more important for them what people are doing in politics now, what they are offering when looking to the future and what specific tasks and actions they are performing. He said that digging up the past never gets you very far.
