Leader of the Parliament Loreta Graužinienė said she was disappointed in Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius‘ position that, after the Parliament rejected General Prosecutor Darius Valys’s report on the Prosecution Service’s activity, the General Prosecutor can continue working.
"I think that he should not continue to work. It is unfortunate that the Prime Minister once again changed his opinion, because he always took the same position before. Perhaps the President’s strong attitude also influenced it. I think, we cannot look at this personally, but we should consider if the system works well. Today they have a lot of internal problems,“ Loreta Graužinienė said.
According to her, the attitude “look at the situation differently" is not appropriate in this case.
"We need to change the situation”, summarized the Leader of the Parliament.
