The ruling coalition's Political Council agreed that, if the organizers of the referendum on the ban of the sale of land to foreigners collect the required amount of signatures, they will support its initiatives despite the fact that Lithuania's Constitutional Court issued a ruling that the referendum was unconstitutional. They are also prepared to draft a new law to provide protections against the sale of Lithuanian land to foreigners.
