The Ministry of Finance paid over 1.4 million for consultations, but 1.2 million of that was from European Union Structural Funds. This year, the Ministry is planning to spend even more on experts at 9.2 million litas. Lithuania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs paid dearly for outsourcing associated with Lithuania's presidency of the EU. Their services cost 415 thousand litas. Other ministries spent much smaller amounts or had no outside help at all.
