International art laboratory “Insanitus” open in Kaunas

Insanitus laboratory is one of the biggest closed space festivals of music and art in Lithuania.

The international art creators association “FREIMAS” (aka K.U.B. Collective) - organisers, authors and propagators of the idea -- are the ones to thank for the first Insanitus that happened five years ago on the premises of the  former ‘Sanitas’ research laboratory. The operation was later moved to the ‘Lituanica’ factory, and this year, it has finally landed at Laisvės Alėja 60 in Kaunas.

This year Insanitus has grown to become a four-day arts and music show that will contain great works of resident artists, as well as installations by Lithuanian artists.

The art of Insanitus is a constant search for depth, impression and message, which means that every visitor of the show will have a chance to participate in art installations, workshops, lectures, showings and observe some of the best video mapping installations.

Insanitus lab analyses the surroundings through vision, sound and effect. We are not only looking for known names in the music world, but also something fresh, both in new and familiar acts. The music line-up this year will be sharing two spaces – the Main Concert and Afterparty. This will accommodate some solid electronic, indie and DJ acts. This year Insanitus will give you a chance to hear and witness the amazing Snow Ghosts, Nonotak Studio, Karalius Miegas and a number of other brilliant artists.
