The daily Lietuvos rytas (Eng. Lithuanian Morning) has announced that young pianist Adomas Gražinis won third place in the competition Virtuosi per musica di pianoforte in the Czech Republic. Giedrius Kuprevičius’ support fund for young musical talents Gerasis ruonis (Eng. Good Seal) sponsored the pianist’s participation in the competition.
Adomas Gražinis was born in 2000 in Vilnius. In 2006 he entered the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Art.
In 2011–2012 he was invited to be in a cameo role in a performance directed by Jonas Vaitkus in the Russian Drama Theater. In 2012 in the fourth Rosario Marciano Pianist Competition in Vienna he was awarded a diploma. In 2013 he performed at Z. Kodaly School in Hungary. In summer of 2013 he participated in the Vivace Vilnius festival and master classes.
