Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite's chief adviser on economic and social policy issues Nerijus Udrėnas asserts that the widespread fear of citizens that the adoption of the euro will sharply increase the price of goods and services is unreasonable. He said that prices may increase, but the increase will not be especially noticeable.
If this is the case, Lithuania would become the first EU country in which after the adoption of the euro there was no price increase.
