In addition to supporting the euro, Lithuanian manufacturers also intend to sign the Ministry of Economy's forthcoming good business practice memorandum requiring the application of fair pricing during the introduction of the euro. According to the head of the organization Robertas Dargis, the most important role in the question of price will not be played by the manufacturing and wholesale trade industries, but by players acting directly on the market – shops, gas stations and hotels. Any possible wave of price increases though, in his opinion, will be short-lived.
