Monthly expenses for members of the parliament equaled one average monthly salary, which last year amounted to from 2,100 to 2,300 litas. Most representatives used the maximum allowable amount. Most of the spending was for car rental, insurance and operation, but some of them devoted considerable amounts to public relations, office and computer rental or books.
