Liberal Movement chairman Eligijus Masiulis said that the party will make a final decision on whether to run someone in the presidential elections on January 18, immediately after their party council meeting. The question is whether to support the candidacy of current president Dalia Grybauskaite or to search for their own candidate. Mr. Masiulis mentioned Eugenijus Gentvilas and Petras Auštrevičius as possible candidates. Mr. Gentvilas has actually stressed that he will not participate in the elections, while Mr. Auštrevičius has not refused to once again run in the presidential race.
