The three leaders of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia Algirdas Butkevičius, Valdis Dombrovskis and Andrus Ansip will meet in Riga to discuss cooperation in the region’s energy and transport infrastructure. The creation of an intergovernmental commission on energy issues will be considered.
Among other things, the meeting of the prime ministers will focus on the priorities of the Baltic countries in the EU market, cooperation in science and education, and other current issues.
After the meeting, the Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian leaders will participate in a joint press conference. The Baltic Council of Ministers meeting was organized by Latvia, which is chairing the council this year.
