The Lithuanian Parliament has made the decision to let member Viktor Uspaskich keep his immunity from prosecution, and members of the Conservative and Liberal parties, outraged at what they have called the ruling party’s undemocratic behavior, left the meeting room. The Commission for Ethics and Procedures also broke up. The opposition leader Andrius Kubilius has called the Lithuanian Parliament a joint-stock-company from Ukmergė and managed by Leader of the Parliament Loreta Graužinienė. Mr. Uspaskich himself did not react much to the opposition’s demarche.
