The Lithuanian daily Respublika has announced that starting the 28th of November, the newspaper will be headed by an editorial board established on a voluntary basis, bringing together some of the country’s most famous cultural and public figures.
The editorial board, which will be the first of its kind, is going to encourage people to more openly and courageously discuss those problems of the people and the state, which, according to the philosopher Vytautas Radžvilas, many publications do not even dare to mention, as if they do not exist.
Editor in chief, founder, publisher and journalist of Respublika Vitas Tomkus came up with the idea of the editorial board.
