Social Democrat Aloyzas Sakalas has drawn attention to information in the press about the fact that during the Soviet period the current president of Lithuania traveled to various capitalist and socialist countries as part of groups, and under the situation at the time, each group leader of the trip was required to prepare a special report for the KGB about the trip and its participants. In this way Mr. Sakalas suggests that President Grybauskaite had to cooperate with Soviet security. The president's office categorically rejects such insinuations.
