On the issue of whether missing Member of Parliament Neringa Venckienė should be removed from her post, a parliamentary commission has suggested beginning such proceedings. Now the parliament will vote whether to send the issue to the Constitutional Court. If the court decides that Ms. Venckienė violated the Constitution, the parliament will then vote on removing her from her seat. Povilas Gylys thinks that his absconded colleague has been affected by a political cartel run by Lithuania's Social Democrat, Conservative and Liberal parties, and Ms. Venckienė has missed meetings for a good reason, fearing for her life.
